MASON—Fred Ramsey rushed for 197 yards in 14 carries Friday night and led the Mason Comets to a 60-8 trouncing of former Fort Ancient Valley Conference opponent Clinton-Massie.Ramsey accounted for three of Mason’s nine tallies including runs of one, two and 28 yards, while leading the Comets to 617 total yards passing and rushing.Clinton-Massie was the first to get on the scoreboard in the game. Jeff Logan broke away on the first play from scrimmage for a 73-yard gallop and Clinton-Massie’s only score of theevening. Logan ran for the two-point conversion and the last points Clinton-Massie would score in the 1977 season. The rest of the game was dominated by Mason.Logan, a 6-0, 175 pound seniortailback, who started in place of the injured Layton Hale, finished the night with 101 yards in 22 carries.
