Mount Ve rnon came out onthe top of a 33 to 18 score.Neosho goes to Aurora next I week for a Big Eight conference game, and then winds up the season on Nov. 17 against Nevada there.Top game of the conference next week probably will be Lamar vs. Mount Vernon. Both teams have lost only one game this year, and the winner stands a goodjchance of meeting Monett in theCarthage Marble bowl on Dec. 1.
