1Johnston CityWins 47-7 AtChristopher. 1Johnston City romped to an ■ easy victory over Christopher 47-7* Friday. The victory at Christopher for the Indians made 1 their final record 7-2. The Bearcats ended the season with a4-4-1 record.Harry Wilson started the scoring for Johnston City by taking a 24-yard pass from quarterback Larry Stevens into the end zone, j Fullback Roland McBride plunged for the extra point and a 7-0 leadStill in the first quarter, Stev* , ens got the next touchdown on ,an eight yard run. McBride | again ran for the point and the i Indians led 14-0.IHalfback Tommy Thomas made both of Johnston City’s touchdowns in the second quarter on fine runs covering 49 and 30 yards. McBride added the first extra point and Stevens passed to Gene Vieceli for the second PAT. increasing the Indian lead to 28-0.A pass from quarterback Fred Weaver to Nick Evanchik for 50 yards accounted for Christopher’s only touchdown. Weaver hit Pete Seineghi with a pass for the extra point that narrow- 1 ed the score to 28-7. !iMcBride started the second ,1 half scoring with a four yard j off tackle run but his atempted placement was wide and the score stood at 34-7. Freshman; Mike McDaniels scored on a seven yard run, making it 40-7 as McBride s kick was again wide.The final score came on a pass from Thomas to Stevens that covered 50 yards Joe Stritzel kicked the PAT for the final47-7 score.
