SPORTING EVENTS.The National League will undergo some changes the coming season, the dropping out of Buffalo making them necessary. The eastern end will undoubtedly le N^w York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington, Provideuce beiug shut out altogether on account of the poor attendance at games. The west end wil 1 ho Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Detroit, and Chicago,Ted Sullivan, Loftus, Commiskey, and Quinn, assisted by some Dubuque amateurs, will play the Dubuques the first good daythis month.Ted Sullivan will remain in Dubuque mostof this month, and then go west to look after his cattle iuterosts. From there he will go back to Washington to take charge of his club.Commiskey is the acknowledged king of all the captains of the country.Dubuque is considered the Athens of base ball by all the ball people of the country.
