Mahnomen gets six menon Pine to Prairie teamThe Mahnomen Indians, champions of the Pine To Prairie Conference, gained six spots on the 22 man all conference squad announced at the league’s annual football awards banquet Monday night at Mahnomen.selections were tackle Steve Reitmeier and halfback Dave Brinkman on offense and end John Bergland, linebacker Dan Storrusten ahd halfback Steve Hilliard on defense.Gaining spots on. the offensive unit were guard Garry Kjos, end Ken Spaeth and halfback Dave Zimmerman while end Greg Kjos, tackle Ron Dahl and safety Pat Bruggeman were named to the defensive team.Bagley had linebacker Craig Backer named to .the defensive eleven and tackle Dave Snobl and halfback Jim Ostlund to the attacking unit.Warren and Fosston eachgained five places while Bagley had three, Fertile two and Ada one.. Storrusten was named to thedream team for the third straight season. Spaeth and Backer were repeaters from last fall. Five juniors were included on the team.
