Coach Glenwright’s Proteges to Face East Tech, * Canton and Others.With local scholastic football rapidly nearing an enu, Sandusky High’s basketball players are beginning to give attention to the 1939-40 schedule, one of the stiffest ever assembled for a Blue and White quintet. *Four now opponents; are included on the program, which opens with Toledo Waite here Pec. 15, and closes on Feb, 27 at Ashland. They are Akron West,Collinwood, Cleveland East Tech and Canton McKinley. First three teams listedare to appear on the local court.Akron West’s Cowboys engaged in atwo-game series with the Bluar Streaks in 1936 and 1937.Seven games arfev scheduled for thehome court. On Dec. 15, 22 and 29, respectively, the Streaks oppose Toledo Waite, Elyria and Mansfield in local appearances. Two games this season have been arranged with Ross High of Fremont,Coach Glenwright has been assisting Bob Whittaker in prepping the football squad, and will not take over head cage duties untilMonday. At present, E. B.
