Volleyball T ourneyScheduledThe Maryland Region I Classs C volleyball tournament will be held Thursday evening at the Mt. Savage High School gymnasium.The first game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the tournament will consist of six round-robin matches played among the region’s top four teams.According to the state rating system, defending state champion Mt. Savage is No. 1, followed by Valley, Bruce, and Clear Spring.The winner will advance to the state tournament to be held Nov. 19 at Catonsville Community College in Baltimore County.Cindy Neugebauer of Hagerstown is chairman of the Region I tournament and JoAnn Nickel, Mt. Savage coach, is site chairman.
