For five seniors, Mike Erdmann, Dave Frerichs, Mike Livermore, Tom Mahan, and Jim Schnepf, this will be the last game with Gehlen Jays.The Jays will be meeting the Wildcats of Woodbury Central. This year the Wildcats have a 5-3 record. Last year the Jays beatthe Wildcats 16-0.The Wildcats will be under the leader of Tim Neustrom, their junior quarterback, who is a good passer and runner. Neustrom’sfavorite receiver is TerrytNeustrom, a quick junior end.On the running plays, the Jays will look out for the Wildcat’s best runner, Jerry Steffen, who runs the play 95 percent of the time.The Jays have put in some new offensive formation in hope of throwing the Wildcats’ 6-2 defensive into confusion and make them play something that they don’t want to play.The Jays will be going into the game with a 2-4-1 record. Mr. Beacom,the Jays’ head football coach, is looking for a victory over the Wildcats.
