Star TeamIs DominatedBy HoriconRIPON — Horicon’sundefeated c h a mpions dominated the Northern Little Ten all-conference teams announced Wednesday by Joe Ganga of Columbus, head of the coaches’ committee which made the selections.The Marshmen, victorious over all five conference opponents and losers of only one game all season, landed six berths apiece on the offensive and defensive squads for a total of 12.Second place Berlin (4*1) was next with eight spots and third place Mayville followed with five, Waupun landed a single berth and Ripon and Columbus were unrepresented.Six Ripon gridders earned honorable mention. They included quarterback Tim Beier, running back Dave Bryden and guards Bob Karlson and Dave Duzmske on offense and end Ca! Cornelius and guard Dean Zimdars on defense.Fifteen players were named to the first team on offense, because of ties at the runningback and center positions.Named to both offensive and defensive honor squads were Dick Polenska and Paul Blankenheim of Horicon, Jim Beaman of Berlin and Jerry Oehman of Mayville.Beaman, a bruising running back on offense and a linebacker on defense, won the championship hands down, racking up 10 touchdowns! adding 14 conversion kicks and booting two field goals for a total of 80 points.Horicon's Mark Sullivan was the runnerup with 56 points, Mayville’s A1 Toellner third with 50 and Horicon’s Elroy Thrun fourth with 48.
