Mahnomen getseight spots onall star squadUnbeaten Pine to Prairie champion Mahnomen gainedeight spots on the 22 man All Conference football teamannounced today.There were five repeaters from the 1973 team includingthree from Mahnomen. Returening to the offensive unitwere Kevin Lindberg of Fertile, Mark Kessler of Ada andMahonomen’s Ron Schafer. Repeaters on defense wereRick LaVoy and Frank Thompson of Mahnomen.Runnerup Ada and Fertile each drew four spots on theall star team while Bagley and Fosston, who tied Fertile for third, each got only two. The other pair went toWaubun, which finished seventh. Neither Warren nor Red Lake Falls gained a representative.Tackle Keith Leines of Bagley was the squads biggest player at 235 pounds. Steve Pavek of Waubun was the smallest at 135. The next smallest was 140 pound Myron Brusven of Mahnomen who won league scoring honors with 82 points. Jeff Baker of Ada was second with 70.Brusven was one of four juniors selected.
