Bird, Jr., went to Phoenix to visit with Mrs. Bird's parents, Hon. and Mrs. George A. Olney,. Colonel Hardy, who goes to Tucson this morning, wall go on to Phoenix tonight to attend the big Democratic meeting there tomorrow, andthe State Fair.Sunday Mr. R. A. Porter and Mr. Hinckley came from California and are at Nogales. The gentlemen areinterested in Sonora and Southern Arizona.The baseball fans sure had a run for their money yesterday. A score of 5 to 4 is something to take notice about. The 25th infantry Wreckers were there with the goods.Yesterday there arrived at Nogales Mr, H, H. Huffman and Mr. George H. Barnes, both from Cincinnati, with Messrs. Harry McKay and T. J. Martin, from Cananea, the gentlemen being connected with the Democrata mines.This morning Messrs Victor J. Wager, Robert E. Lee, Col. Charles Hardy and Col. Allen T. Bird and other Nogales folks are going to Tucson to attend the luncheon given today in honor of National Chairman Cum-A Collection of InterestingItems About Soldiers Sta- ?tioned at Nogales and Their FamiliesAn enthusiastic crowd witnessed a j stirring baseball game between the I All Stars of Kansas City and the 25th I infantry Wreckers on the Athletic I Field Monday afternoon. IThe game was one-sided up to the I last half of the third inning, the All I Stars being in the lead, 4 to 0. WThen, Iin the last half of the fourth tthe 25th I Wreckers secured two runs business J began to pick up and with some care- Ifuh maneuvering by the Wrreckers the Iscore was tied in the fifth inning, and I in the seventh they got one run which Ispelled victory. One of the mainsfea- IJlures of the game was the music!I played by the 25th infantry band and j I the buglers, which seemed to give the IWreckers fresh courage and the All B Stars the blues.
