Moments after the Wolves crushed Bandys 43-14 Friday to clinch a 2A playoff berth, some of the 23 seniorsemerged from the lockerroom and made their way back to the field for a final post-game celebration.It was a fitting way to end a Senior Night to remember.“I've never seen a senior class here do that,” Lincolnton coach Scott Cloninger said. “It’s real special for them. And these seniors are a special group for me. I have been head coach for two years, and these boys have been with me. It’s been a privilege to coach them.”And it was seniors who led the way in a game that saw Lincolnton (7-3, 5-1 Midwest 2A Conference) deliver an early knockout blow to Bandys’ playoff hopes.■ Hendersonville 68, Bessemer City 20— At Hendersonville, Lewico Sanders had a game to remember for Bessemer City Friday night.
