Sean JohnsonCoronadan, 10 claims tennis winSean Johnson, a Coronado 10-year-old,was a recent winner in the Pacific Beach Junior Round-Robin Singles Tennis Tournament.Competing against nearly 30 youngsters from as far away as Los Angeles, Sean won the 12-and-under bracket finals on Oct. 23.\ Somewhat of a natural at the sport, Sean, who just turned 10, defeated a 12-year-old 5-2 in thefinal round to claim the first place trophy. He's been playing tennis forjust eight months.Sean is the son of Mike and Dannie Johnson, retired teachers who recently moved here from Kansas City, Mo. He’s now working our on the tennis courts about four hours daily in preparation for the George SalmonThanksgiving Vacation Juniors Tournament set for Nov. 19-27 at Folsom.
