‘Old Alex,’ Noted Huder, Remarried; Off Drinking, TooSt. Paul, Nebraska —[IP)— Grover Cleveland Alexander cf baseball pitching fame Monday revealed that he and Mrs. Alexander were remarried in Rockford, Ills., June 2, 1931. They are here visiting his mother,Mrs. William Alexander, and his brothers, W. C. and Alva Alexander.The Alexanders were divorced in Lincoln, Nebraska Oct. 3, 1929.Speaking of the remarriage, Alexander said .“it was great for me and she feels the same way about it.1'Alex said he had not taken a drink of liquor “for a long time.” He admitted he tried to quit several times before but it would not “stick.During the 1931 baseball season.Alexander pitched for the House of David from April 12 to Ocs. 1. While traveling with the team he was joined at Rockford, 111., by Mrs. Alexander and they were remarried by a justice of the peace.Alexander is visiting friends and relatives here.
