THE COST OF CLUBHOUSENearly the Full Amount Subscribed | and Work on the Building Slated to Begin Early Next Spring,.Last June or July the annual preal* dent-vice president’s match was played off at the Algona Country club grounds, and President Al** Falken-•hainer’s side lost to Vice President E. J. Gilmore’s side. The stake was a banquet fot the winners, and on Tuesday night the debt of the losers was paid.The banquet was served at six o'clock at the K. C. hall by the ladies of the local chapter of the Catholic Daughters of America, and to say, that the menu, the viands, and the service were more than satisfactory is putting It mildly. About one hundred plates were laid. Many out of town members of the club were in j attendance. • •Clubhouse to Cost. $9,000. . ..After the banquet the question lof building a clubhouse next year was taken up. S. B. French was called on for a report covering the expense of the Improvement, and presented an estimate of $9,000. It is understood that the members of the club- have already subscribed nearly the. full amount, and that the clubhouse will be built early next spring.'
