She really hit the throw and wound moving into third place with a toss of 129 feet, 3 inches,” assistant coach Rob Beck said.“It was Dianne’s second bestthrow of the year. She had 130-2 in the dis‘rict meet last week.We are very happy for her, and this is the third time she will bein the state shot put, but the first in the discus,” Beck added.Montgomery was third in the 1986 state meet at 41-3 in the shotputPC, Bellevuegirls advanceWORTHINGTON - Port Clin-ton’s Ann Gaydosh and Bellevue’s 3200 meter relay team advanced to the state girls track meet with solid performances in the AAA regional event at Worthington Saturday.Gaydosh, a junior, posted a sparkling time of 11 minutes, 23.10 seconds in placing third in the 3200 meter run.Her best effort of the season until Saturday was 11:42.3.Bellevue’s fine 3200 meterrelay team also qualified for the state by finishing fourth in 9:39.89. The winning team was 9:32.01 by Columbus St. FrancisDeSales. *Fremont’s Shannon Carter also advanced, in two events.Carter was runnerup in both the 100 and 300 low hurdles. She clicked off a time of 14.59 in the 100 and 44.25 in the 300 to battleher way to Ohio Stadium.There was one record set.Pickerington’s 800 relay team checked off a time of 1:41.85, anchored by Kristin McDaniel. She won the 100 and 200 meter runsand aa,so anchored the winning 400 meter relay as Pickerington captured the girls team title.Fremont was 8th with 22Doints.
