Fans Versus Houseof David in Night GameThe famed St. Viator college baseball team, of near Kankakee, defeated the Blue Island Fa run at Fans’ Field, Blue Island, last Sunday, b\ a score of * to 3. F.xtra-1 v ’ Hs •base hits with runners on bases featured for the college nine, Mc-Baughton, star twirler for the downstaters featuring in the clubbing department by connecting for a homer and a two-bagger.Tomorrow (Decoration Day) the Fernw od club, so far undefeated this season, will be the attraction at Fans’ Field. A large crowd of Fernwood followers willbe on hand and plenty of competition is expected.Next Sunday afternoon the B i. Fans will go to Chicago Heights to engage the Heights team in the afternoon and will return home in the evening to meet up with the Famed House of David club in a night combat under the giant flood lights. This game, starting at 8 p. m., will be the first night baseball game played so far this season in Cook county.The House of David team this year is managed by the well-known Grover Cleveland Alexander, former major league star.
