LACROSSEThe nr*t game* of Uk season were played In Um Pirtt here on Stay 34U», when our Juvenile le*m lost to Bramp-ion by a seot* of ft to 4 and Uwe Intermediate Utm were defeated by Oakville 0-5.In the first period of the In termed I -iU game bolli teams scored two goals each. At the close of the second period tlvey wqre atlll even both team* having added another goal to their 1*00re. The third period closed with but one foal being scorsd, the visitor* placing the ball in the net and the round closed wllh Oakville one up. In tl*e fourth and last period both learn* scored two goal* and the game cloaed 0-5 In favor of Oakville.There were two or three of the v 1*1 tore afeeraed determined to rodfch It In the early part of the game and they were aent to the bleacher*. ThL* seemed to have a soothing effect and while It was somewhat rough ln.apot* with hard checking, no aerioui damage was done.Both team* showed lack of practice and while Georgetown lost out they had the better team of the two. with a UUle more practice our boys will give a good account of themaelvea (hi* seaeco.We would like to aee more of our citiaen* present at thaee game* and show the boy* they appreciate their effort to re-establish lacrosse In Georgetown.Robert Erwin. veteran of many a hard fought game In year* gone by. acted a* referee, owing to the official for the occasion falling to turn up.
