TEAM SELECTEOBurlington Golfers ^ill Play Against KeokukTomorrow at That Place.A. W. Carpenter, captain of the golf team of the Burlington Golf club, returned last night from Quincy, where he played Saturday over the fine course of the Quincy Golf club in a friendly match with Harry Turpie, the club's professional. Mr. Carpenter selected a team today which will go to Keokuk tomorrow to play against the Keokuk Country club. The team will consist of eight men, as follows: A. W. Carpenter, Charles C. Clark, H. W. Chittenden, Abram Chittenden, Charles E. Otto, Carl Leopold, Dr. Kinney, W. L. Cochran. This is a strong combination of players, and should give an excellent account of itself. If the Burlington players do not win the local club members will be greatly sur-prised, for all Qf these men have beenplaying a fast game this spring.I^ast year the Burlington team defeated Keokuk twice, and the latter must have improved greatly, not to be administered a third defeat. The Keokuk course is shorter than the Burlington links, and our players will have the disadvantage of playing on a strange course.A number of club members contemplate accompanying the local team, and W. S. Sherwood, the club instructor. may also go. The match promises to be close and exciting.
