DOUG GODWIN Wilson StarterUndefeated Wilson Legion Team Faces Raleigh For Two TonightWilson Post 13, off to its best start in several years, will try to keep tIk1 unbeaten string in tact tonight with a Fleming Stadium doubleheader against Raleigh Post 1.Wilson stands 5-0 on the season. Coach Alton Britt and assistant Will Flowers have been extremely pleased with the fast start Post 13 won those five games in four days, took Tuesday night off. and w ill resume a heavy schedule tonight.After the nonconference doubleheader with Raleigh, which begins at 6:30, Wilson will open Eastern Division play at home Thursday night at 8 p.m. against Wiliiamston. Wilson will also be at home for league play Friday night against Goldsboro before taking to the road Saturday for a league game at Washington.“I feel real good about the start,” said Britt. “This group has been a pleasure to work with, they've been working hard, and we've been having a lot of fun.”Britt plans to start with Doug Godwin in tonight's first game and Charlie Flowers in the second, using a number of pitchers along the way. Britt will start Jeff Davis in the conference opener Thursday night.“Pitching has been the strong point thus far without a doubt, said Britt. We haven’t killed the ball except for the first game but we’ve been getting timely hits. We’re looking forward to opening the conference schedule and feel like we’ll be going up against tough, top-quality peopleevery night.”
