Judkins of 270 Vine street, won tha Richmond medal, given annually to outstanding athlcto In the school. He acquired two letters In football, one first team and one second team letter In basketball, and two first team and one second team letters in track. R.chmond.CHRISTENSON MEDAL.TVltHs Spafford, son of Mrs. -Donald Spafford of 673 East Fifth South street, was the recipient of the Homer 1’ Christensen medal, which Is given annually to the outstanding athlete and scholar !n the West High school. The medal is g1v0n by Jack Christensen In Honor of his brother, tne tate Homer P. Christensen, who coached tha West High basketball and track squads prior to his. death, in 1925.Miss Lorna Young, daughter of Mrs, F. Ij. Young of 1(56 West First North, street, ■won the Honor sweater, given by the school to the girl who attains the highest average in health, scholarship, athletics and leadership during her three years In high school. She won one of the girls' silver cups and. an efficiency pin, -which are given tor excellence in athletics.WRITER'S MEDAL.Melvin Perlewitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Perlewitz of 3068 Lake street, won the writer's medal for editorial achievement. Perlewitz, 'a senior, is a member, through the Red and Black, of tho Rocky Mountain Scholastic Press association. He Has been on the P,ed and Black staff three years, and Is editor in hia senior year.Clifford Mcllrath, 203 East Sixth South street, won tho writer’s medal tor business achievement.
