PURER MEETThird Year Girls of West Triumph in Day’s Activities; Marks Good,Girls’ day was tielfi at* the West high school yesterday afternoon and tho junior coeds won the majority of the events. They came first with 102 points, the first year students were second with 00 points and the senior girls finished last with 66 points. Many good marks were made considering the weather. A high wind interfered with the dashes and throws for distance.The best marl? of the day was the baseball throw for distance made by Ellen Jackson, r sophomore. She threw the ball 137 feet 2 Inches. This Is considered to be an exceptional mark for girls. Genie ve Poulson tossed the basketball a distance of 73 feet for high honors. This Is a very good mark.Pearl Glgy made the exceptional time of 6.7 seconds In the fifty-yard dash. She led the rest of the. runners by several feet.
