A real baseball attraction is in tht offing for central Wisconsin fans. On tho evening of Monday, June 8. the Wisconsin Rapids club will raeei the original House of David team under the floodlights at Lincoln athletic field. The members of the King Ben Purnell cult carry with them tills \ ear the Kansas City Monarch lighting plant, said to be the best portable system in the country, much more powerful than that which was used here last summer when the locals played the California Owls. The Kansas City plant was used to light Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, and several other major league parks.The big attraction with the House of David aggregation this season is Crover Cleveland Alexander, old-time performer in the ‘‘big show/' The visitors can noc guarantee that “Alex” will pitch, but he will, be with them, and in uniform. Xatur-ally, every city which the House of David visits wants to see Alexander in action, and that is more than the veteran can stand, although his good right arm is still effective.
