The lacrosse match played here yesterday between Belleville and Lindsay resulted in favor of Lindsay, after a hard struggle, by a score of 1 to 0. The splendid team play of the Lindsay home called forth frequent applause from the grand stand. The Belleville boys played a good game all through, and with a little practice will make a strong team, and the quiet and gentlemanly manner in which thev conducted themselves all through the day is not only a credit to themselves, but to the city they represent. The game was quiet and gentlemanly from start to finish, and 35 minutes had elapsed before Hamilton securing the ball passed to Malcomson, who scored the first and only game of the day.
