However, some coaches scratched possible entries because of subpar performances In runningup finishes.United will be led by Jack Waters, who set District 6 records last week in the high jump and 180-yard low hurdles.Coach Madill said Thursday that he plaits to remove his versatile sophomore from the -high jump and enter him in the two relaysand the hurdles.Waters yvill run in the mile relay with BUI Walsh, Stan Mos-ler and Joe Naugle.Walsh also is entered In the half-mile and will run on the half-mile relay team with Lenny Dixon, Ernest Widmar and Waters. Naugle also qualified for the 440-yard run.Charles Mack will run the mile. Bill Peterson tied for second in the half-mile with Crowell of Patton and lost the toss and right to enter the state meet. John Drak-sler is in the shotput and discus events while Duwayne Dunmire is in the javelin to roundout the United delegation.For the second consecutive year, JHS* Bill Faust finished in a tie for second place in the pole vault and lost the toss for a state meet berth. Altoona’s Ris-oldi wort the flip last Saturday. Last year, Gene Rinkus of Indiana won and went on to place fifth in the state test. ,Rinkus won the -pole yault Saturday and will be one of three representative of the Indians of Coach Jack Kurtz.
