MISS TENNEY IS WINNER Of MEETNotional Archory Champion Captures Top Placo I in York TournoyMiss Jean Tenney, woman’s national archery champion, came through with flying colors yesterday : in a tournament staged by the York Archers at York, Pa., when she defeated a field composed of the best from Baltimore, Washington, Lancaster and York. Miss Tenney scored 660 points in the morning round and in the afternoon scored 5§8 points for a total of 1268 points.Mrs. Peggy Clark of the Oriole Archers Club was second with a total of 1253 points and Miss Peggy Miller of the same club was third with a total of 1252 points. The ] shoot was held at Haines Park ini York. IOver this week-end Miss Tenney will take part in the tournament j being sponsored by the Potomac I Archers in Washington and she will I also be in charge of a group off shooters from the Hagerstown High \ School Archery club. The Potomac | tourney was postponed several f times due to rainy weather. The meet will be held on the 29th and 30th.
