Cars registered for permits exceeds the amount of spaces available at present.Summer driver education was approved to be held between June 10 and July 25. Renewal of membership in the Illinois High School Association and the paying of $20 dues was approvedPlans for a metal storagebuilding to go under the athletic bleachers were discussed. Supt. Alton Mattingly was instructed to make preliminrry plans for the building with the assistance of other staff members.In other action the board adopted a resolution to have the Superintendent prepare thebudget for 1973-74, designatedthe Tri-County Bank of Minooka, The First National Bank of Morris and the First National Bank of Joliet as banks of deposit for school funds for 1973-74 It adopted aresolution to participate in a friendly mandamus suit against the Grundy County clerk and treasurer to collect1972 levied taxes, authorized the school nurse to attend a summer workshop with the board paying her necessary expenses, authorized a service contract with Jack’s refrigeration of New Lenox for servicing air-condition and air handling units, authorized the Superintendent to arrange for the school grounds to be sprayed for weeds andauthorized summer maintenance for typewriters, adding machines, and audio-visual equipment. It also accepted milk and gasoline bids from Weber Dairy and Farm Service for next year subject to approval by the board of District 201.Collection of taxes receivedwas discussed and tax anticipation warrants will hot have to be issued to meet the June bills.Also discussed was the formation of a citizen advisory committee of former board members. A list of formerboard members is to be compiled.
