Fridav. Mav 22. 1953OAX HARBOR ROCKETS SECOND TO CLYDE IN DISTRICT TRACK MEETOak Harbor’s Rockets finished second to the Clyde Fliers in the district Class B tTack meet at Bowling Green University. Saturday, but the Clyde thinclads had a huge margin over all competition.Scoring points in every event but the mile. Clyde took the Class B title with 66 and 17/18 points. Oak Harbor was second with 37 and 1/18 and Lakeside was fourth with 15 and 1/9. Genoa scored 10 points and Elmore, 8 and 1/9 Other teams which scored included Ada, Elida, Pandora. Gibsonburg, Columbus Grove. Delta, Cridcrs-ville, Leipsic, Fayette, Archbold. Bluffton, Pembcrville, Olncy and Convoy.Harbor tied with sixth others foi fifth place.Norm Semrock of Elmore wa fourth and Lemunyon of Oak Harbor. fifth, in the broad jump.
