W. Joseph, manager for Beans Carange, offering to meet “Kid 'Williams here at 145 pounds at 6 o’clock, or at catch weights, split 75 and 25 per cent.Matchmaker Burke states that the articles for a fight between the two boyB will in all probability be signed within a few days.Carange is the same man who put Benny Hart away a short time ago in a twenty round fight.Subsequent to the WilHams-Carnnge go, it is the purpose of local fight promoters to secure a fight between “Kid” Sullivan of San Francico and Nig Normart of Fresno. A letter has been receivod from Ed Harrington. one of the most prominent ring followers of San Francisco, in whlchij lie urges that the match be secured, as the fight would be a fast one, and , when Ed says anything like that there! is sure to bo something doing.Thurston In Town.Thurston is in town again. He has reconsidered his statement that ho would never fight in Bakersfield again and expresses his desire to meet Williams for the welterweight championship of the coast. He will probably not have the opportunity for some weeks to come, at least.
