Chiefs' field ready Ju ne 23SYRACUSE, (UPI)-The International League Syracuse Chiefs will be able to return to their fire-torn home field June 23, although the seating capacity of Mac Arthur Stadium will belimited to only 2,900 spectators.Mayor William F. Walsh announced plans to reopen the field Tuesday and also asked bids for the demolition of that portion of the stadium which was damaged by fire last Wednesday.atThe Chiefs were fast becoming known as the gypsies of the baseball league when they were forced to reschedule home games at various fields around the state since their home grounds were made unplayable. Until repair work is completed, the baseball club will play a modified schelule for road games.
