Jpring Sports Recognized At Irojan BanquetA banquet bettering Findlay High School participants in ' spring sports was held Monday night In the school cafeteria and most valuable players In three sports were named.Senior Joe Goodart was named the most valuable trackman, Gary Redick won the honor in tennis and Randy Fife was the low medalist in golf. Fife had a 78.8 average per round this season.Honors in baseball will be presented later for the top batter and fielder. One game remains in the Buckeye Conference tournament and three boys are in the running for each award.The FHS golf team compiled an 11-3 season record and won the district last week. It will play in the state meet at Columbus Friday and Saturday. The baseball team Is 9-9 after having a 3-8 record at one time, the track team finished 5-2 In dual meets and the tennis team was 4-6.The baseball team plays either Elyria or Lorain 8en!or for the Buckeye Conference championship.
