Malchy Hogan nays: Renewed effort a have been made to get Robert Fitzsimmons* and Jack Hoot in the same ring, but so far nothing has been accomplished. Fitzsimmons has been offered a good purse by the Waverly club. Home reports have had it that “Bob” is not overly anxious to meet the local man, and for that reason has made the terms so steep that no local club will be able to meet them. I hardly think so. I Imagine that “Bob” is after the money and by holding- out he may think that he can swell the bid. There is a limit, of course, as no local club can afford to take too much of a risk, as the days of the blf? crowds at Tatter-sall’s seem to be over.
