Banks to Sponsor Free Attendance At Chiefs TusslePlans have been finalized for a sellout at MacArthur Stadium July 17, when the Syracuse Chiefs meet the JacksonvilleSuns.The stadium has been bought out by Marine Midland Trust Co of Central New York, which will distribute tickets free to all comers at its JO offices in Onondaga, Oswego and Cayuga counties. jThe bank has scored a first with the purchase of ail general admission tickets to a game ; and free distribution.Royal L. O'Day, executive vice president, said the move has been made ,to give the Chiefs a financial boost while at the same time stimulating [interest, especially among 1 young young people, in local baseball.We want the Chiefs to stay in Syracuse on a sound finan- j cial basis,” O’Day commented. I ; Our hope is that the outright purchase of ail general admission tickets for specific gameswill spread to other businesses and industries.
