District IX, Class AAKANE The host Kane Wolves won the District IX. Class AA boys team title and the North Clarion She-Wolves captured the girls’ team title Saturday at the annual meet. The Districts also serve as the State qualifier with the winners in each event plus those who beat the PIAA qualifying marks getting a berth to State’s this Friday and Saturday.Brookville winnersDave Tonkin and Tom Miller won their respective events, the 3200 meter run and the javelin throw for the Blue Raider boys who finished fifth in the team race with 41 points. Last year Brookville was second with 52 points. Other place winners Satur day for the Blue Raiders were the3200 meter relay team with a 3rd, Randy Palmer 5th in the 110 high hurdles, Rod Winter 6th in the shot, Jim McNeil tied for 4th in th1600 run, Doug Lefevre 3rd in the 400 dash (only .1 second away from first place), and McNeil and Brent Shepard 5th and 6th in the 3200 run which Tonkin won.The Lady Raiders’ placedArlene Sain first in the shot put as the only state qualifier. Brookville’s girls’ point total was17. The Lady Raiders got a 6th in the 3200 relay, a 5th in the 400 rlay, and Amy Henline was 4th in the 100 dash.Brenneman top performerDave Brenneman of Keystone was named the meet’s Outstanding Performer and received the James L. Manners (former Dist.
