The Courtney-Sullivan I^nto pulled off the speedway, out of contention, with mechanical problems.On lap 27, on the front stretch, Polverari, O’Sullivan, John Fisher, and Glazier tangled. All restarted buy Glazier. On Lap 35, in turn three, I^atour, running second, spun and was hit by Ron Wyckoff parking both cars on the w reckers. Polverari was set back two spots at this time for jumping the green flag on the previousJohnny Lobo.
