PAGE FIVEDBC Gives AwardsAt Annual BanquetR-C Wise County BureaThe Seventh Annual AwardsBanquet of the Decatur Baptist College were held Thursday in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church. The event is sponsored by the faculty of the school.Math, Clyde Cotton and Dav* id Myres, 2nd.Music, Delbert Vest; JoAnn Nichols, 2nd; and Mrs. Sue Smith, 3rd.Psychology, Elizabeth Johnson.Mrs. Esther Watkins, English Department director, was Mistress of Ceremonies.The head of each department awarded a miniature loving cup to the top students in their respective courses. Certificates were presented to the second and third place students.The Inter - collegiate Athletic Award was given by Coach Dennis Walling to Doug Reedy. Travis McCain was second andBill Garrison was third.The Bible Award was presented to Becky Wingo; Jane Johnson, 2nd; and Marvetta Cox, third.Education, Judy Grinstaff and Sue Ella Jones, 2nd.Spanish, Mrs. Sue Smith; Mrs. Henry Clay, 2nd; and Sandra Hill, 3rd.Publications, Sarah Coursey.Mnisterial, H. M. Beam and Travis Blair, 2nd.Coach Dennis Walling received a five-year pin from Dr. Otis Strickland, president of Decatur Baptist College.Public Relations, Certificates of Merit presented to: Mr. and Mrs Ernest Richter, Mr. and Mrs. M.
