The first amateur boxing bouts were j conducted by llyde Park, 1C. of O., last j evening in Waverly Hall. In the semifinals in the 115- i pound class Joe Neil of Jlyde Park ! i defeated .Urn Natali of East Boston j and in the linala O’Neil won from Ed- j ward Foster of Kast Boston; Vincent t Sullivan of South Boston won from I .John Flynn of South Boston in the semifinals in tin* 125-pound dassandWm. Garo of Dorchester, who defeated Harry I Finn of Dorchester in this class, was | declared the winner in the finals. Ed* j i ward Wilson of Fast Boston won from | I Andv Morrison of South Boston in the ; I semifinals fo ihe 135-prumd class, and ! I«Mward Fitzpatrick, who defeated Edward Both of Dorchester, lost tlt; AM1-son in the duals. In the 145-pound class there were but three entries; Fred Smith of Hyde Park. Al Graham of Dorchester, and Thomas Graham of South Poston, and the latter won the gold watch as the first prize.
