Democrat staffGARDEN VALLEY — The Golden Sierra baseball team waited until the final game of both Golden Empire League competition and its season as well, to come up with a league victory.When the Grizzlies did it, they did it good as they climbed all over the Bear River Bruins,22-4, in front of the home town fans, Thursday*afternoon.The Grizzlies scored twice in the first and second frames and addded five more in the third butthey’re really, really big blow came in the bottom of the fifth when 13 runs crossed the plate for thehome team.The Bruins managed single runs in the second and third. They added another in the sixth and one more in the seventh but by that time the shiphad long since sailed.Mike Cameron started on the hill for the victorious Grizzlies. He worked five inning before giving way to Bryan Scheneman. This game was the last one in Scheneroan’s four year varsity career. Phil Seabury was behind the plate.Other seniors saying goodbye to Golden Sierra baseball include Cy Adams, Timm Chapman, T.J. Green, Isaac Hoffman, Justin Keller, Lance Nordby, Brett Pittman and Seabury.Brian Thomas led the offensive attack going 2-for-2 with a triple and 4 runs batted in at the plate. Green had a pair of hits in four trips and drove in three team mates. Hoffman added two more of the Grizzlies 13 hits and Cameron contributed a two bagger.Golden Sierra winds up its 1992 campaign with a 4-18 overall record. They were 1-13 against GEL competition. ‘
