Buick engine wins awardINDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Buick V6 turbocharged engine, which is powering the top two qualified ears for the May 26 Indianapolis 500, has been chosen the winner of the Louis Schwitzer Award for innovation and engineering excellence in race car design for 1985.Steve Widner, chairman of the award committee of the Indiana Section of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Thursday presented the award to Joseph M. Negri, manager of Buick Special Products Engineering, and Ronald L. Kociba, special products manager.The Schwitzer award is given annually in recognition of engineering j excellence in cars entered in the Indy 500.
