Amateur Hockey Association has selected 46 of the top midget-aged players in the province to attend the annual Junior Olympic Program in August The eight-day camp will be held Aug. 6-13 at Duncan on Vancouver Island. Players will receive instruction aimed at improving individual skills and team-play understanding. The camp will be the fourth staged by the hockey development program section of the BCAHA, headed by development co-ordinator Bob Nicholson and project co-ordinator Bill Ennos. The volunteer camp staff will include: Dave King of Saskatoon, Canadian Olympic team coach; Clare Drake of Edmonton, former Olympic coach; Dave Andrews, coach of Victoria Cougars of the major junior Western Hockey League; Jack Moores, coach of University of B.C; Thunderbirds; AI Patterson, coach of New Westminster Royals of the B.C. Junior Hockey League; and Danny Gare, captain of Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League.
