The Raider thinelads swamped Country Day and Lutheran South to end their dual meet season with an 8-1 record and a league record of 5-0, thus giving Western the undisputed A.B.C. championship.In the meet with Lutheran South,! the cadets snapped the mile relay mark as Bill Kaune, Bud Gouin, Pat Rothberg, and Drew Schoepp churned the cinders in 3:36.8 to beat the old record of 3:38.4 set by last year’s fine quartet, Schoepp, Ranney, Sullivan, and Ching. Another W.M.A. track record was smashed this year when Steve Schreep tossed the shot 51 ft. 3 in.
