Filing clown the west slope adjacent to the arena came dozens of beautiful horses with their polished genr sparkling in the sun. Flying banners and flags, colorful outfits of the riders, added excitement to the colorful scene.Winners in the Grand Entry were Willits Riding Club, best senior group; Willits Junior Riding Club, hesi junior group: Hoy Tito, Willits, best working outfit; Arlene Browder, Cotali host western dressed cowgirl; Tom Brown, Elmer Bucknell, Covelo; best matched pair; Douglas Patten, Lnke-port, youngest rider; I.ouis Gar-boecl and daughter Janet, family class,A Irophy to the club coming the greatest distance was presented to the one from Covelo. The trophy was donated by the Potter Valley Riding Club.Sunday morning the junior horsemen and cowboys competed for honors. In the trail horse, peanut class, first place winner was Janet Garboeci, Ukiah; second, Linda Lusk, Lnkeport, and third, Tommy Patten, Lnkeport.In the Junior trail horse class, first, went to Arlene Browder; second, Betty Ann Stansberry. Willits, and Elsie Stansberry, Willits, third. Winners in the junior musical chairs were Elsie Stansberry, first: Douglas Stansberry, Willits, second, and Frank Briggs, Upper Lake, third.Winners in the musical chairs in the peanut class were Frances Jinkcns, Sebastopol, first; Laurel Robertson, Lnkeport, second, and Gary Baldwin, Lacport, third. In the junior pole bending event first place went to Ricky Hooker, Ukiah, with a time of 1X9 seconds; Dou-;las Stansberry, second, time 1G,* and Mary Vieu.
