NWMSC Coeds In Nat’l Track ChampionshipsmFour Northwest Missouri State College coeds are slated to compete In tbe Division of Girl’s and Women’s Sports (DGWS) national track and field championships, May 12-13, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.Mrs. Janet Moss, coach of the lady Bearcats, said that Roberta Hodgson, Glenwood; Colleen Means, Villlsca; Debbie Jones, Bedford; and Meg Hennessey, Manilla, will carry the NWMSC Green and White Into the national competition. The girls are shown above (left to right), Miss Hodgson, Miss Means, Miss Jones and Miss Hennessey.The NWMSC coeds won the right to compete with first place performance in the Missouri DGWS championships held recently In Springfield, Mrs. Moss said that by comparing the performances of her Knoxville bound quartet with those in each event of the national meet last year, It appears each has an opportunity to place in her specialty.Miss Hodgson will compete in the 100-meter hurdles, Miss Means will participate in the long Jump, Miss Jones in the shot put and javelin, and Miss Hennessey In the 220-yard dash. Collectively, the quartet will run the 440-yard relay and the 880-yard medley relay.
