In third with 13Vwas ex-world champion Anatoly Karpov of Russia.In the middle of the group in total score were the Polgars: Judit (12 points) and Zsuzsa (11 points). The sisters — who have grown up on a diet of speed chess and blindfoldchess — continue to symbolize the vast reservoir of untapped talent among women.Again defying normal expectations about age was 62-vear-old Viktor Korchnoi of*Switzerland who had the third-best score (along with Yasser Seirawan of the U.S.)in speed chess.
