Big Sky honors MSUs EckersonBOZEMAN (AP)— Montana State thrower Pat Eckerson shares the Big Sky Conference men’s field athlete of the week award.Eckerson, a junior from Butte, won the hammer throw at the Tom Gage Classic in Bozeman last weekend and improved his regional qualifying mark to 192 feet, 5 inches.Eckerson leads the Bobcats in both hammer and discus and is second in the conference in hammer.Idaho State pole vaulter Mike Arnold shares the award with Eckerson.
