Dick The Bruiser To Top Muncie Wrestling CardConnie Marker of Richmond, popular dean of the Indiana wrestling officials has been assigned by the State Athletic Commission as referee for the star studded benefit wrestling program set for the Muncie Fieldhouse, Friday, May 16. Dennis Grove, programchairman for the sponsoring Boy’s Club Alumni Association stated that this greatest mat card ever presented in a local ring features the wrestling sports greatest names and big time attractions including a tag match for the World tag team title and a tag bout featuring the ever popular, crowd pleasing Midget wrestlers plus three outstanding supporting events.Internationally famous super star, Dick the Bruiser will team with the giant strongman Yukon Moose Cholak against the current World tag team champions, The Legionaires, Sgt. Jacque Goulet and Soldier LeBeouf in the feature bout.The Midget tag bout will have Lord Littlebrook teaming with Little Tokyo against the diminutive duo of Sonny Boy Hayes and Little Louie.Hall of Fame star, Lou Thesz, former World Heavyweight champion, the greatest wrestler of modern times will be pitted against the Legionaires blond manager, Handsome Johnny Starr.Mitsu Arakawa, another former World champ will meet the colorful Indian star Bobby Bold Eagle.The opening event set for 8:30 will have the clever drop kick specialist “Golden Boy” Paul Christy going against Johnny Race. The box office situated at the Eastside entrance to the Fieldhouse will open at 7:30 p.m.
