Over 60 girls tried out for the 25 positions on the team. To be eligible, the girls attended three clinics where they learned difficult routines.They were judged on poise and posture, appearance and grooming, pep, coordination, and consistency of motion. The judges were composed of teachers and senior drill team members.The members of the new Drill Team are Ann Foster, Robin Lovett, Cindy Rudolph, Debbie McKinney, Rhonda Butler, Margie Combs.Corby Hancock, Carol Denton, Cindy Conner, Gretchen Stephenson, Melanie Golightly, Debbie Ratliff,Linda Sibert, Lisa Vance, Linda Shetler, Debbie Mclntire, Sonya Marple, Debbie Byrne, Sandy Bradley, and Brenda Wingfield.The alternates are Tammy Patterson, Gayle Pope, Ruan Orndoff, Terry Carter, Peggy Halverson, and Vickie Manuel.Beth Slonaker is banner carrier..
