*Base Ball.—The game of base ball between the Royal Glue nine, composed of the clerks at D. G. Wine-brener Co.’s establishment and the Patrick street nine, was played on the engine house lob Thursday afternoon. Win. E. Xusz acted as umpire and H. H. Number and Carlton L. Stull, scorers. The playing was not pro-; fessional although some very good ! work was put in. by several on each ' «jde. Neidig made a fine play on a \ running fly and a terrible hard liner, [ and Cramer on two very difficult fence | flyers. Only eight innings were _ played by the Royal Glues.
