The attend- bance was very large, the crowd which was aino less than two thousand, being so dense s-as in some instances to interfere with the Pplayers. Brawley broughtRock home. Molloy 11 ow out to Bradly.Flack got first by Jackson fumbling hisball. Bradley,followed hitting oyer second, ^ sending Flack to second. Flanagan strucka ft ul and both base runners left theirbo.According to amateur rules a man cannot be out on a foul and the men werereturning leisurely to their bases when the- Iball was thrown to first and Bradley decided out. The captain of the Juniatas andf[ the umpire refused to reverse this erroneousdecision, claiming it was aceor ling to anunderstanding between both captains, butI this the M. C. captain denied. Instead ofIrefusing to play, if the decision was not re-i versed lie allowed himself to he brow beatenby threats of stopping the game by tinJuniatas. The M. C.’s rather than stop,knocked under and play was resumedthough Bradley refused to contine, F.Vaughn being substituted. When the gamewas resumed Flanigan bit safe for one base.E. Vaughn made a safe bit bringing in Flack. Peake was muffed at left. Flanigan came home. Baker fouled out.
