Frank Boucher, former NHL star who is now commissioner of the Saskatchewan Junior League, has long advocated a super junior league embracing major cities-in Western Canada.Hunter pointed out that the Oil Kings a year ago tried unsuccessfully to get into the Junior A series of the Ontario Hockey Association and will try again. The Kings have represented Western Canada in the Memorial Cup final the last seven years, winning oncje, but do not play in a junior league in Alberta. They play in a senior league.The Generals are members of the OH A Junior A.Last week, a new junior league was proposed for the Atlantic provinces but one of the possible- entries, Halifax Junior Canadians, are reported i interested in joining the OHA.| If Halifax and Edmonton wereI to join the Ontario teams, somesee it as a step toward a cross-Canada junior circuit.Boucher's idea has been to have a western junior league j winner play off for the Canadian title against the OIIA champions. But the CAHA is opposed to this' plan because it excludes teams from Northern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime. Boucher and OHA officials held discussions earlier this year but no action was taken.Also at the dinner was Osh-awa defence star Bobby Orr, limping after re-injuring groin muscles in the fourth game of the series here Wednesday night.. He’s expected to dressfor tonight’s fifth game scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EDT, but will likely see little action.The sixth game will be Sunday at 2 p.m. and if a seventh is needed it will take place next Wednesday night.
